Utilities

The Mill Creek TIFID is a great choice for development because it is already served by many high-quality utilities.

The TIFID boasts high-quality utilities including those listed below and shown on the Map of the Site.

Potable Water

Potable Water – A 6-inch PVC waterline exists at the north end of the TIFID property. It has already been extended under the railroad tracks and 1,400-ft along the Mill Creek Highway.  It is ready to be connected to on the east side of the highway, or be extended further south along the highway to serve your development.  This waterline is connected to the Anaconda water system and provides potable water only and is not intended for cooling, process or emergency water.  The line is owned by Anaconda Deer Lodge County.  Persons interested in connecting should contact Paul Puccinelli with the Anaconda Water Department at 406-563-7111.

Cooling, Process, or Emergency Water

The Silver Lake Waterline, a 36-inch steel waterline which runs from Silver Lake, west of Anaconda, to the Montana Resources mine in Butte, MT, is available for process, cooling, or emergency water. The line runs west to east on the north side of the railroad tracks and is owned by Butte Silver Bow.  Persons interested in connecting should contact Dave Schultz at the Butte Public Works Department at 406-497-6515.

Sanitary Sewer

An 8-inch sanitary sewer line exists at the north end of the TIFID property. It has already been extended under the railroad tracks and 1,400-ft along the Mill Creek Highway.  It is ready to be connected to on the east side of the highway, or be extended further south along the highway to serve your development.  This sanitary sewer line is owned by Anaconda Deer Lodge County.  Persons interested in connecting should contact Wayne Wendt with the Anaconda Sewer Department at 406-563-4072.

Natural Gas and Electricity

Northwestern Energy provides both the natural gas and electrical services in the Mill Creek TIFID. The property is uniquely situated next to the Dave Gates Generating Station, a natural gas fired electrical peaking plant for Northwestern Energy.  Proximity to this generating station provide several benefits to the TIFID, including highly stable electricity and the availability of large electrical and gas services.  Person’s wishing to connect to Northwestern Energy’s utilities should contact the New Construction Department of Northwestern Energy by calling 888-467-2669 (when prompted press 4 then 2).
